Mrs.Padmavathy and Mr.Veeraswamy, my parents were never the ideal couple in the neighbourhood we grew up. They were 'extra' ordinary. They had always thousand issues to argue and fight. We wished, during that time, like the children in the movie 'Azhagan' - " Namma vera veetla porendirukkilaam da'. But then I realized, after my marriage, that it was quite natural for couples to fight and argue. Even after all these years - fifty to be perfect - they still have a zillion issues to differ and conflict.
The fact that they have stayed together over all these differences is a great feat. So, My brother, Prasanna and myself wanted to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in grand style.
And we wanted to surprise them with a party. We meticulously planned to invite our relatives clandestinely to the secret party, pleading them to keep it a secret.
Prasanna was to arrive at the 50th wedding function at home followed by gayathri aunty and family.
